LATINADA: Singapore’s Latin American Food Festival Returns For Its Second Edition

When it comes to Latin American cuisine, tacos, ceviche, and guacamole are just the tip of the Iceberg lettuce. That’s why Peruvian-born Chef Daniel Chavez (of OLA Kitchen Group) aims to spread the culture and the love through LATINADA 2019: a collaboration chefs and restaurants that showcase the cuisine in a spicy week of festivities. From 8 September to 16 September 2019, chefs from all over Latin America will be taking diners through the region, with hearty Mexican street food, Chilean barbecues, and more – you won’t want to miss it!

Kick start celebrations with the Grand Opening of LATINADA 2019 at Camp Kilo with Domingo Tropical. A Latin-inspired street food fiesta, the event will feature a sneak peek into what’s to come for the rest of the week, with snacks on deck by all participating chefs, including tacos, pork roasts, and themed cocktails. Food leaves the kitchens at 4pm, but come early and if you’re looking to groove – live music starts at 2pm.

Resident chef Diego Jacquet, festival founder Daniel Chavez and Ivan Brehm of Michelin-starred Nouri collaborate on a six-handed dinner menu as the festivities reach climax. Titled Our Journey Back Home, the trio delve into hearty childhood dishes that bring the week full circle – from the exciting new menus back to the heart of Latin American cuisine.
